Fred Gotwols

Fred Gotwols was born in 1854. He served in Marine Corps probably sometime during the 1870s. He was a member of the Marine Corps Band, where he played some kind of horn.

Gotwols had two great-great-grandfathers in the Revolutionary War, including one who drove an ammo wagon at Valley Forge. His father served with the Confederacy in the Civil War, 1861-62. If you have any information on this Marine,
