Volume 1, Number 14, Published Weekly, undated, published & distributed "On the High Seas". The final issue. Good+. Wraps. 8.75x11. Staple bound. Some creasing & soiling to front cover, which is also folded diagonally from top to bottom. Binding torn at top to upper staple. First two pages creased at top. There were 14 INDIANS published all told;
thirteen in Germany & this one aboard ship on the way home. All were published
in 1919. Each cover was unique: an original work of art by a member
of the division. The cover for this issue, in black, orange & yellow, shows a Renaissance-era sailing ship upon the high seas. Inside the issue, the lead-off story is "Peace and Home", a summary of the 2nd Division's war record. An editorial, "The Last Number", names & describes the division members responsible for publishing The Indian. The remainder of the issue is made up entirely of photographs, drawings, and cartoons. 16 double-column pages. One of the hardest Indians to find. Priced down due to condition. SCARCE.
