While I am fairly certain that a number of war memorials in France embody the iconography of Jeanne d'Arc, I have so far only learned of one for certain, a WWI memorial with a statue of Jeanne d'Arc in an abbey at Mouzon, between Montmedy Sedan and the Route des Fortifications. I would be very grateful to anyone who could provide a photograph of this memorial, or of any other WWI memorials related to Jeanne d'Arc.

Since writing the above paragraph, I have been presented with a photograph of a war memorial showing a Poilu kneeling at the feet of Jeanne d'Arc. The sculptor (standing beside his monument in his studio), is Maxime Real del Sarte, who sculpted both a number of WWI memorials and statues of Jeanne d'Arc.

Another monument by del Sarte, of which there are several models ... this one is in Rome; others are in Quebec, in Rouen and in Bayonne.
