Jacket about 95% present. Book covers are clean & bright, Photographs & maps throughout, appendices, index, 289. Kean was an artillery officer with the 15th Field Artillery, 2nd Division AEF and served at Chateau Thierry, Belleau Wood, Vaux and Soissons. Was also an instructor at the Army Intelligence School in 1918, and an attache at the American Embassy during the Paris Peace Conference immediately after the war. One of the more articulate & substantial accounts of the 2nd Division in WWI. Much of the book naturally concerns those other guys of the 2nd Division, the 4th Brigade of Marines.
