The Department of Defense announced on November 29 the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Nicholas S. Nolte, 25, of Falls City, Neb. died Nov. 24 at the National Naval Medical Center Bethesda, Md., from injuries
received Nov. 9 as a result of enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 2nd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion,
2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps
Air Station Cherry Point N.C.
