The Department of Defense announced on January 10 the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Lance Cpl. Matthew W. Holloway, 21, of Fulton, Texas, died Jan. 13 from injuries received as a result of enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Forces Reserve’s 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Corpus Christi, Texas.
