Lance Cpl. Michael S. Probst, 26, of Irvine, Calif., died Feb. 14 from an
improvised explosive device while conducting combat operations near Abu Ghraib,
Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Tank
Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms,
Calif. During Operation Iraqi Freedom,
his unit was attached to 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force
(Forward).

died Feb. 14, when a suicide car bomber attacked his
vehicle near Al Qa’im, Iraq. He was assigned to 3rd
Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division;
II Marine Expeditionary
Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
