SAN DIEGO -- Military officials Monday released the name of a Camp Pendleton Marine who died in a non-combat-related vehicle accident in Iraq.
Staff Sgt. Jimmy J. Arroyave, 30, of Woodland, died Thursday, northeast of Ar Ramadi, according to Department of Defense officials.
Arroyave was assigned to Combat Service Support Battalion 1, Combat Service Support Group 11, 1st Force Service Support Group, 1st Marine Expeditionary force at Camp Pendleton.
The accident is under investigation, officials said.
