A poem, as yet incomplete, in three projected parts,
chronicling the quest of a minor American poet
to find and uncover the buried springs
of his lost inspiration,
a quest which leads him ultimately
to the heart of pastoral England,
to a ruined abbey on the upper Thames,
and a grassy ridge overlooking
the distant glimmering city of Oxford.
