Officer below the Rank of Captain when Reporting to any Permanent Duty Station or
to any Naval Training School], covering dates of serv ice from 1944 to 1954, about
45 documents. All but two documents dated postwar. Included is an affadavit
describing gunner's war record, including service at Pearl Harbor during the
Japanese attack, the Salamaua-Lae Raid 10 March 1942, Coral Sea engagement
4-8 May 1942, Capture & Defense of Guadalcanal 10 Aug 1942 to 8 Feb 1943;
Consolidation of Southern Solomons from 8 Feb 1943 to 15 March 1945; Palau from
6 Sept to 14 Oct 1944. Other documents & cards include: certified diploma Navy
