Included in the following list are any poets who were
active in some direct way in the
war, whether as combatants, or
in some other capacity (ie: front-line journalists away from their
standing desk, medical personnel,
or refugee relief workers). Information given about each poet, where known, includes name, place
& dates of birth and death dates, dates of service, units, wounds,
decorations, and whether killed or died as a result of the
war.
In some cases the poet's name is linked to a related website.
This list is most definitely incomplete, and will be ongoing.
Suggestions for additional names and information are welcome, as are
corrections.
