Marius Rocle




Marius Rocle of New York City served in the Foreign Legion from September 26, 1914 to June 5, 1916. He transferred to the French Aviation Service and served as an observer and gunner with Escadrilles N-84 and C-46 from February 1, 1917 to February 19, 1918. He then transferred to the U.S. Air Service as a second lieutenant and served with the 13th Aero Squadron and 644th Squadron until the Armistice. He was decorated with the Croix de Guerre with star for his service in the Legion.
