Previous owner's stamp on top of book (page-edges). No other marks. The classic history of the Marine Corps, of which Laurence Stallings wrote, "This is a beautiful book." Numerous maps, photographs, notes, index, bibliography, 692 pp. It has since been reprinted by the Nautical & Aviation Publishing Company, a shorter, thicker, more cheaply bound edition with slick boards & "Miracle Binding", but this is the original edition with superior materials & sewn signatures. Often priced at over $100.
