Covers a bit ratty at edges, especially top right corner of front cover, which has been repaired with archival tape. Some flattened creases to front cover; edgewear & cornerwear all round. Original owner's name & address written neatly in ink on front flyleaf, upper left-hand corner. Water-stain affects upper right-hand corner of first three pages. Covers separating at bottom, about one inch up, but binding still good overall. All photographs in fine shape. Over 100 large-scale superb photographs of the Navy, Marine Corps & Coast Guard in WWII, selected by one of the great photographers of this century. This book was given to Sailors & Marines on their return from the war. Detailed captions of each photograph offered at end of book, together with the identity of the photographer, when known.
