THANKSGIVING WITH THE
SIXTH MARINE DIVISION
IN TSINGTAO, CHINA
November 1945
An original menu & souvenier
An original souvenier menu, printed in bright colors, and distributed to each man in the 15th Regiment, Sixth Marine Division who attended the Thanksgiving
dinner in Tsingtao,
China, shortly after the end of World War II. Stiff paper, 8.5x11 folded in half to make an 8.5x5.5 four-page menu. Condition overall VG, with no tears. Cover
and interior clean, rear cover discolored.
On the cover, in bright, unfaded red, white, blue & yellow, the Sixth Division logo, old-style EGAs in color, and crossed American and China flags.
Inside the menu, on the left-hand page, a list of regimental staff
officers and battalion commanders. On the right-hand page the menu of the Thanksgiving dinner. The type is faint, but legible.
On the rear cover, list of Division Commander, Assistant Division Commander and Chief of Staff. The back cover is discolored and has black paper adhering to the corners,
where it was evidently removed from a scrapbook (not by me, but by some previous owner).
Very SCARCE.
