William Thorin




William Thorin, of Canton, South Dakota, volunteered in the Legion late in June, 1915, but reached the Front in time to fight in Champagne during the summer. there he was wounded. Thorin's earlier life had been spent principally at sea, though on different occasions he had had adventures as a marine on a Chinese gunboat, and as a United States soldier on the Mexican border.
